Black Pearl plays at home

MANILA, Philippines - Before making its mark in the local music industry, The Black Pearl Band entered the foreign music scene as traveling performing artists in different Asian countries. At first, each member had no experience in music. But when the members trained in their respective instruments, they became a hit act overseas.

It has been seven years since band manager Lulu Carpio put up Black Pearl. During those times, the band established its reputation as one of the most talented, promising acts in its league. Black Pearl started performing in various local clubs first and became a sought-after performing group abroad due to its highly-entertaining repertoire.

Aside from the international bookings, Black Pearl has released an album. It has been featured in numerous write-ups that highlight its incomparable musical style. Over the years, the band has remained a versatile band in the country.

Black Pearl has undergone changes and introduced a new line-up of members. The band kicked off the year with SRO gigs in Calle 5 Mabini, Germaine’s Makati and My Pub Quirino Avenue, Parañaque. Black Pearl also performed for months in Baguio Country Sounds in Baguio City.
