Visually-impaired singers join Seoul music festival

MANILA, Philippines - Ambassadors of Light (AOL), a group of visually-impaired singers ages seven to 18 have been invited to participate in the Wataboshi Music Festival on Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, to be held in Seoul, Korea where they will showcase their original compositions led by its founder, Anderson Go, the first blind outstanding School of Music graduate of the Philippine Women’s University (PWU). Organized by Tanpopo No Ye Foundation in Nara, Japan, the festival participated in by artists with disability worldwide started in 1991, of which AOL represented the Philippines four times.

The AOL Foundation also gives scholarships to sighted and gifted young artists, one of whom was Laarni Lozada, a PWU Education graduate who is ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer, Season II.
