2009 Miss U prelims shown 'live' on free website

MANILA, Philippines - Be part of history tomorrow, Aug. 17 at 8 a.m. by watching the 2009 Miss Universe Preliminary Competition (Presentation Show) live from Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas through the link www.bbpilipinas.com. The live webcast marks the first time the Miss Universe preliminary competition will be streamed on-line to a worldwide audience.

At the Preliminary Competition, watch our very own Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Bianca Manalo (photo) as she competes with 83 other hopefuls in the Swimsuit and Evening Gown categories as part of the selection of the Top 15 finalists who will be revealed during the two-hour live telecast of the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant on ABS-CBN on Monday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m.

The Preliminary Competition will be hosted by Miss Universe 2009 Dayana Mendoza and Local Bahamas radio personality Ed Fields. London-based singer Anthoney Wright will perform his hit song Wud if I Cud during the competition.

This year’s judges include Steven Schillaci, talent producer for many hit shows including American Idol and Best Buddies; talent executive Mark Wylie, Last Call with Carson Daly; executive producer David Friedman; Trump Model Management president Corinne Nicolas; Hollywood choreographer of Oxygen’s Dance Your Ass Off Mario Mosley and Tiza Tjokroadisumarto; director of Retail Operations, Michael Kors (USA).
