Claudine, Diether spend fun afternoon with kids

MANILA, Philippines - StarStudio teamed up with Claudine Barretto and Diether Ocampo as they treated 50 wards of the Kabataang Inyong Dapat Suportahan (K.I.D.S.) Foundation, Inc. and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to a fun-filled day. This is StarStudio’s way of giving back to the community as the children spent a fun afternoon at Manila Ocean Park.

Dubbed StarStudio Celebrity Charity Series with Claudine and Diether, the event gave children a chance to spend a day with the two Kapamilya stars as they toured the country’s first state-of-the-art Oceanarium. Claudine and Diether were assisted by the StarStudio editorial team, along with Claudine’s husband Raymart Santiago and their children Sabina and Santino. Cristalle Henares of Belo Medical Group also graced the event.

Claudine was happy to take part in the affair, “I’ve been doing charity work for the past few years and we’re also one of the spokespersons for Bantay Bata. What Raymart and I want to share is for people to be more open to adoption. I know many are scared about adopting but if you have space in your houses and in your hearts to love a child just to save a life, then I hope you could give them a home. One of our biggest blessings is Sabina and we never regretted our decision about her.”

Another celebrity who has always had the passion for kids, Diet is the founder of K.I.D.S. Foundation, Inc. and since then, has helped children.

“I hope we’ll have more activities and programs for these children. My only wish this year is for more people to be involved with our advocacy and I’m blessed with friends who have helped me tremendously. We should take steps to help the youth because I know a lot of kids today are working instead of being in school and that should not be the case.”

StarStudio prepared food and drinks complete with a cotton candy stall, ice cream cart, three cupcake towers and a chocolate fountain, parlor games and prizes, a magic show, balloons and others. Guests took home kiddie lootbags.
