Sarah waits for the right love to come

MANILA, Philippines - Her bubbly personality and soft-spoken voice have won many hearts. Proofs are Sarah Geronimo’s chart-topping records, sold-out performances and box-office movies. In spite of her success, she remains humble. Recently, Sarah showed all that when Unica Hija staged a meet-and-greet with fans at the SM Fairview. Open Line also had a chance to ask Sarah questions e-mailed by her followers. Below are excerpts from the interview.

Now that you are 21. What are the things you plan to do? (Chryzelle Sanvictores of Binangonan, Rizal)

I want to become independent. (Can I now live on my own?) I can’t. I want to learn things a 21 year old should know. I’ll be asking my mom to teach me how. These things are about personal matters and career.

Did John Lloyd Cruz court you? (Love Palma, Iloilo City)

He never sent feelers. He took good care of me (during shoots). He was friendly. There was no courtship that happened.

What’s your take on John Lloyd-Ruffa (Gutierrez) special friendship? (Sahara Khan, Hong Kong)

I can’t say anything about it. (I think) they are grown ups. And they are responsible for their actions.

And are you somehow affected? (Rowena Sabia, Subic)

I’m not John Lloyd’s former girlfriend.

There are many names such as Mark Bautista, Rayver Cruz and Mark Villar linked to you. How do you feel that you have many admirers? (Virgilio Gorospe, Caloocan City)

I’m happy that there are those who appreciate my talent — not my beauty. They enjoy seeing me perform.

Where is love in your life now? (Olivhet Fernandez, Biñan)

It’s not really my priority. My career and my studies top my list. As what people say, the right time for the right love will come. I’ll just wait for it. I think there’s nothing wrong talking to or laughing with the persons I like.

I want him (my first boyfriend) to be my first and last.
