Reaching new heights in 'Vilma' country

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Progress continues in the turf of Batangas City Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto (inset). And this is seen when Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) recently moved its Batangas City branch in a more accessible site with a spacious, modern-day look building.

The new branch, located at the ground floor of CAP building along Rizal Ave., was inaugurated with a Mass and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Batangas City Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha, PVB chair Col. Emmanuel de Ocampo, PVB president and CEO Ricardo Balbido Jr. and provincial board member Joel Atienza (he represented Gov. Vilma). Provincial and city government officers and members of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines in the province were also present. They, too, learned more about PVB’s expansion plans and continuous effort to better serve its every client through banking convenience amenities. Bank officers and heads like VP Mike Villa-Real, EVP Vic Garcia, branch manager Ariel Balboa, service head Angelita Panganiban, among others were also around for the bank opening.

Aside from its concern for veterans, PVB is at par with other major banks in banking convenience. The bank has introduced its 5-in-1 teller card to clients under the payroll arrangement with the bank like the staff of Batangas City Hall.

Balbido also announced the opening of four new branches in Antipolo City, Tarlac, Lucena and Pampanga in line with PVB’s rationalization program. It also plans to add 11 new branches next year as BSP approved 15 branch licenses to PVB.

With PVB’s incessant step for growth, this proves the bank has already reached new heights in banking business. — Bot Glorioso
