Star Magic celebrates 17th anniversary

MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN Star Magic celebrated   its 17th anniversary with a blast. Last June 21, on A.S.A.P. 09, Star Magic artists turned up for never-before-seen production numbers.

The opening dance number was an ‘80s medley with Gigger Boys (AJ Perez, Chris Gutierrez, Aaron Villaflor, Dino Imperial, Sam Concepcion and Enchong Dee), Thou Reyes, Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao, Pokwang, Chokoleit, Kitkat, Rayver Cruz, Melissa Ricks, Kim Chiu and Sam Milby with the G Force. Star Magic belters Laarni Lozada, Sheryn Regis, Yeng Constantino, Nikki Gil and newcomer Thara Jordana performed Danny Boy a capella.

One of the highlights of the show was fashion show headed by Star Magic teleserye queens and princesses, leading men and matinee idols. Nyoy Volante and Rhythmic Circle Band rendered the Ants Marching music as Kristine Hermosa, Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, Kim, Shaina, Melissa, Erich and Maja walked the runway with outfits provided by Philippine Fashion Week designers and stylist Alyanna Martinez.

Also part of this fashion show are Megan Young, Nikki, Bettina Carlos, Jessy Mendiola, Maricar Reyes, Matt Evans, Robi Domingo, EJ Falcon, Gigger Boys and leading men Jason Abalos and Gerald Anderson. Pokwang and Chokoleit also added more fun in the annual event. The grand entrance of May Bukas Pa’s Santino, Zaijan Jaranilla, was most applauded.

Bride to be Rica Peralejo performed again in A.S.A.P. 09’s Full Circle. She sang That’s All while Coverboys Victor Basa, Jon Avila, Zanjoe Marudo and Jake Cuenca danced.
