Juan Rodrigo, Emil Tiongco defy the ravages of time

MANILA, Philippines -  When it comes to arthritis, Emil Tiongco of the  Tiongco Brothers has been there, done that. He couldn’t take a single step for one week straight. And when he did, he had to climb the 15 steps in his house ever-so-slowly, holding on to the railings as much as he could. Juan Rodrigo, on the other hand, may not have been through the hell his fellow artist has been through. But his muscles did stiffen one morning when he woke up on the set of a TV soap he was taping. Just as alarming, arthritis runs  in Juan’s family. His dad and older brother suffer from it.

That’s why Emil and Juan are not taking any chances. Juan rides his bicycle in his Cainta neighborhood. He’s also a member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial board) in the first district of Laguna. Juan swears by the healing effects of Power Joints, a dietary supplement for osteoarthritis.
