Concert for the Big C
MANILA, Philippines - Those who attended the The Big C… Concert and Comedy last May 15 at the Metro Concert Bar were more than entertained because an important knowledge was also imparted to them — that breast cancer can be treated. The event aimed not only to raise funds for indigent cancer patients but to spread awareness about the dreaded affliction.
Every year the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. (PFBCI) or the Kasuso Foundation holds benefit shows such as the The Big C to extend financial aid to cancer patients who cannot afford the continuous medical treatment of the disease. Part of the show’s proceeds goes also to the foundation’s various programs about breast cancer prevention and treatment.
The success of this year’s show can be attributed to the fact that there are good-hearted people willing to give moral and financial support to a worthy cause. And there are artists who are generous in sharing their talent to show their concern to their fellowmen.
The PFBCI is thankful to Frenchy Dy, Sheryn Regis, Vice Ganda, Erik Santos and Mr. Fu.
The event was also made possible by PAGCOR and PCSO.
