Lou Bonnevie's Only Human tour

MANILA, Philippines - Lou Bonnevie has just concluded her first leg of Only Human mall tour with a rousing performance at the Central Plaza of Eastwood City.

The album launch started with cocktails at 7 p.m. and was shortly followed with performances by front acts bands Savannah and Blue Ketchup. The comeback launch proved to be well-attended by Lou’s longtime fans, family, friends, co-artists and media, indicating how much they’ve missed Lou. Present in the event were Onemig Bondoc with her Finnish model girlfriend; Danica Sotto with her husband Mark Pingris; and VIPs from Viva Records, distributor of the album.

Lou performed with much gusto all the 13 original cuts in her album. Explaining to the audience the inspiration of every song before singing it, she delivered every number with intensity. Some of the most applauded was the environmental song Hurting which featured a guest violinist and was complemented with a moving video clip. Also favored were Only Human, Driffin and Courage — all interpreted with the “signature” raspy voice of Lou. In People Don’t Care, Lou mingled with the crowd while she played her “fiery” ovation guitar in LAFS.

Guests included Hannah Romawac Olives from Session Road and Aia de Leon from Imago who performed a “women power” production number with Lou’s original cut SAY NO! The song speaks about saying no and standing up against women abuse. Jay Durias and Pido of South Border, on the other hand, jammed with Lou in a jazzy acoustic song titled Crazy. Maegan Aguilar performed with her kahon and beat to Lou’s ditty, Simpleng Babae. The event ended with autograph signing and photo op.
