Summer MYXFest 2009 in Bora

MANILA, Philippines - Myx caused a hit-wave in Boracay as party-ready locals and vacationers filled the beachfront stretch of Paraw, Obama Grill and Ariel’s House. There was non-stop partying under the stars until morning as top bands sang their hits one after the other for Summer MyxFest 2009.

The weather cooperated as 6Cyclemind opened the night with a medley of Sandalan, Pare Ko, Kaleidoscope World and other hits. Julianne serenaded the crowd with her sweet voice as she sang Waiting In Vain with the single partygoers singing with her. She also did her famous Tulak Ng Bibig. Imago rocked the night with Sundo followed by their new songs Bawi, Hym and Yahoo, among others.

Pedicab sent the crowd into a frenzy with its popular songs FX and Simulan Mo Na, while Rico Blanco sang Your Universe, Awit ng Kabataan, Umaaraw, Umuulan, Bye Bye Na and others. Chicosci heated up the stage with its signature songs Vampire Social Club, Diamond Shot Gun and 7 Black Roses. Sandwich played Selos, Laklak and Betamax.

MYX VJ Luis Manzano, who arrived at the island ahead of the others to celebrate his birthday, was later joined by other MYX VJs like Iya Villania, Nikki Gil, Andre Felix, Robi Domingo, Monica Yncierto, Chino Lui Pio and Bianca Roque.
