Kevyn Lettau at The Block

MANILA, Philippines - Kevyn Lettau has a series of performances called Summer Serenade with Kevyn Lettau. The Brazilian jazz singer will perform live at Discovery Shores, Boracay tomorrow, May 2; SM Mall of Asia, Main Mall Atrium, May 5; SM City North EDSA’s The Block, May 6; and SM Megamall’s Main Mall Atrium, May 7.

Kevyn, who grew up in Berlin, Germany, and later in California, caught the singing bug and began working with guitarist Peter Sprague, singing jazz R&B, and Brazilian music in and around the San Diego area.

She got her big break when the legendary Brazilian pianist and bandleader Sergio Mendes discovered her. She toured and recorded for Mendes for eight years, developing her own vocal style along the way.

Kevyn’s first two solo releases were Kevyn Lettau and Braziljazz. The albums led to critical acclaim and a loyal following both in the US and abroad. Her popularity in Asia — particularly in Japan and the Philippines — made her soar to near superstar status. She is currently the spokesperson for Philippine Airlines and Sunlife Insurance.

Kevyn will launch her latest compilation titled What Is Enough in Manila at The Block. The album features 10 songs with guitarist Peter Sprague, including Sunlight, Heed My Call, Drawn To You, What Is Enough, Almost Like Being in Love, Belief, You Don’t Know What Love Is, Cantar, Patience and Have a Talk With God.
