MANILA, Philippines - Crank: High Voltage opens tomorrow, April 17 in theaters. The Jason Statham starrer is expected to smash box-office records just like its predecessor.
Crank: High Voltage picks up from where the first movie left off. Chev Chelios (Statham) wakes up after being kidnapped by a mysterious Los Angeles mobster only to find that his nearly indestructible heart has been stolen. His new ticker isn’t as hard-wearing as his old one, though. It is battery-operated and requires regular jolts of electricity to work. After escaping from his captors, Crank sets out to find who stole his heart, embarking on a pulse-pounding chase through the mean streets of Los Angeles where anything goes to stay alive.
Crank: High Voltage also stars Amy Smart, Dwight, Yoakam, Efren Ramorez, Clifton Collins Jr. and Bai Ling. It is distributed locally by Viva International Pictures.
