MANILA, Philippines - Ryan Cayabyab is again opening the doors of his music school, not just for the young, but for the more senior ones, this summer. The school, located at the lower level, Robinsons Galleria, EDSA corner Ortigas, offers special courses that not only enrich knowledge but make learning fun as well.
Thus, the theme Cool Down with Music.
Enrollment to the music school is open the whole year round for individual music lessons and workshops for children, preteens, teens and adults.
Courses for the school’s 22nd summer offering are:
Musicgarten for four-to-seven-year-old children. The course consists of modules in rhythm and movement, singing, acting and instrumental ensemble. The class meets for one hour, five times a week.
14K Program is an original training workshop developed and designed by Ryan himself. It includes ensemble singing and dancing for eight-to-12-year-old children. The course was expanded to use music education modules with the existing curriculum, such as basic music theory and instrumental ensemble. The class meets for an hour, five times a week.
Musiktheatre for 13 to 17 year olds offers all the basics one needs for musical theater: Acting, voice and movement. The class meets for two hours, five times a week.
Ryan himself introduced The Joy of Singing for those aged 18 to 35. It aims to help the student discover his/her singing voice through vocal exercises, vocalizations and song performance. It’s a big help for those without any formal voice training. Those who want to sing but are afraid to do so will also find this useful.
Ryan presides over classes twice a week for two hours each.
The school also offers individual lessons in voice, piano, guitar and drums for children and adults.
