Paraluman named MYX's Favorite Indie Artist

MANILA, Philippines - Paraluman recently bagged Favorite Indie Artist award at the 2009 Myx Music Awards. Joining the band in this year’s roster of winners were David Archuleta (Favorite International Music Video for Crush); Sarah Geronimo (Favorite Myx Celebrity VJ; Favorite Media Soundtrack: A Very Special Love; Favorite Remake: A Very Special Love; Favorite Mellow Video: A Very Special Love; Favorite Female Artist; Favorite Artist); Christian Bautista and Sitti (Favorite Collaboration for Captured); and Rico Blanco (Favorite New Artist).

Paraluman is composed of Madeline on vocals; RJ Romero, lead guitar; Vince Romero, bass; Jay Macalincag, rhythms; and Jimbo Cuenco, drums. Although relatively new in the music industry, Paraluman was launched to the mainstream via its debut album Paraluman: In Lab under Soupstar Music and Universal Records. The album features 12 original tracks including the hits Emily, Teka and a bonus track titled Tabi featuring Kean of Callalily. The band is busy promoting Tabi as it makes its rounds in radio stations and musical events. Tabi is currently on the Top 20 Myx OPM Countdown.

Paraluman graced yesterday the 91.5 Energy FM’s Energized at Eastwood City Central Plaza.
