Sharon-Gabby starrer revived on Sine Novela

MANILA, Philippines - Set to premiere this afternoon on GMA’s Dramarama sa Hapon block is Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?, the 1984 Viva Films blockbuster starring Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion directed by Emmanuel Borlaza from a komiks serial by Gilda Olvidado.

Featured in one season on Sine Novela, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? stars new loveteam Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal as Lito and Myrna, the roles played by Gabby and Sharon in a story about lovers who plunge into marriage at a very early age.

Playing Glacilda (Chanda Romero in the movie), the villain, is Ara Mina.

The movie won two awards in the 1985 FAMAS Awards, Best Actress for Sharon and Best Theme Song for George Canseco.

Directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes, the teleplay also stars Lloyd Samartino, Juan Rodrigo, Maritoni Fernandez, Mariz, Carlo Aquino, Mike Tan, Paulo Avelino, Maybelyn dela Cruz, Matutina, Jana Roxas, Rhea Nakpil, Krystal Reyes, Lawrence Gutierrez, Kiko Junio and Jhake Vargas.
