MANILA, Philippines - Marissa del Mar with her public affairs program Up Close and Personal is launching the First IMPACT Recognition Night tomorrow, March 2 at the Blue Leaf, The Fort, Taguig City.
The First IMPACT Recognition Night will be an annual tradition of recognizing individuals and entities from various sectors who helped shape the country’s development and the people and provide service for the common good.
Asia’s Finance Minister of the Year, Secretary Margarito Teves; Sen. Loren Legarda and Nueva Ecija Rep. Rodolfo Antonino head the list of executive and legislative branch awardees for good governance, Chief Justice Reynato Puno, represented by Supreme Court spokesperson lawyer Jose Midas Marquez and Associate Justice Renato Corona are the top choices in the judicial branch.
Other awardees are Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan, Customs Commissioner Napoleon Morales, Pagcor chair Efraim Genuino and PAO chief Persida Acosta, Pag-ibig Fund president Romero Quimbo, Rotary International District 3830 governor Ed Limon and past District 3810 governor Alex Huang.
Provincial and city governance awardees include Isabela Gov. Grace Padaca and Taguig City Mayor Sigfredo Tinga, respectively.
Recipients in the Business & Trade category include PCCI pres. Edgardo Lacson, ECOP pres. Serge Luis Ortiz Jr., PEZA director general Lilia de Lima, economist-industrialist-diplomat Ceferino Benedicto and Philippine Veterans Bank EVP Jesus Vicente Garcia.
Gawad Kalinga head Tony Meloto, architect-developer Nestor Mangio and architect-urban planner Felino Palafox and Condo Central magazine head Daniel dela Cruz topbill the Housing and Real Estate category. The National Real Estate Association (NREA) will also be cited for its involvement in national government.
Saudi Ambassador Mohammed Ameen Wali will be recognized for international diplomacy for promoting cordial relations with the Philippines and their involvement in Asia, Middle East & African affairs.
Chinese Gen. Hospital president and chairman Dr. James Dy and Tourism Usec Cynthia Carrion are the awardees for the Health and Well-Being category.
