Highway 54 at Conway's
Conway’s bar at Makati Shangri-La comes alive every Wednesday when Highway 54 (photo) dishes out its repertoire of ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s music.
The retro band’s five vocalists make nights soothing and relaxing with songs by The Lettermen, the 5th Dimension, Manhattan Transfer and Friends of Distinction.
Catch Highway 54 Mondays with SuaveRotina; Tuesdays with Bloomfields except Feb. 10 with Hyperbeat; Thursdays with Spirit of ‘67, Triple Friday with MidLife Crisis on Feb. 20; Acoustic Jive, Feb. 13 and Feb. 27 and Arpie and The Multivitamins; and Saturdays with Hyperbeat. Sundays are open for jamming with the master pianist and bass player.
Enjoy early hour beverage specials while a jazz duo entertains you nightly, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It’s drink-all-you-can for selected local beers, wines and cocktails like zombies, mai-tai’s, gimles or dirty martinis at P500.
