AXN - THE DUKE

-

WELCOME TO THE BIG BOYS’ CLUB!

Gain an all access pass to the realm of real men with AXN’s brand new men’s magazine show, the ultimate series of sophisticated “maledom” – THE DUKE. In this glossy AXN original production, it’s all about successful and inspiring men and what makes them tick, so get on board and join the excitement when it premieres first and exclusively on AXN this 9 February, Every Monday @ 8pm.

THE DUKE entitles you to a taste of the heady day-to-days of very different men from all across Asia, all who have one thing in common: They can be labelled as Dukes -- men who have made it with their desire, drive and dreams.

Simply put, a duke is what every man wants to be and who every woman wants. He is successful in his own right, knows what he wants and is admired by his peers. He is confident, charming and has an innate magnetism that unwittingly draws men and women to him. So, how better to get more than a sneak peek of what it is like to be a fabulous ‘duke’ than through a distinctively irreverent perspective of THE DUKE?

In weekly episodes, meet totally inspiring individuals, a baker’s dozen of different men, whom irrespective of different ages and industries have attained success, power, fulfilled their unique dreams, and have proven to be every inch the dukes of Asia.

Some of these dukes include, Allan Zeman, the founder of Hong Kong’s party district Lan Kwai Fong; Dylan Wilk, the former ninth richest man in England and now philanthropist who is dedicating his time and riches to aid impoverished communities in the Philippines; and high school dropout made internationally-renowned street magician Cyril Takayama, whose claim to fame is an incredible hamburger trick – he magically pulled out a real burger from a menu that was framed up on a wall outside a fast-food joint.

Also, get a no-holds-barred look at politics, health, sex and wellness in the scintillating showcase of the various facets of Dukedom. In each episode, the hosts of the show and specially invited guests will discuss interesting topics about men, like men’s secret fantasies, what being a metrosexual means, and why some married men are more appealing to the single ladies.

And look out for the fascinating lifestyle features that show you where duke men sleep, get dressed and how they travel in style. From the dandy Savile Row tailor Norton & Sons, who have made suits for England and Spain’s royalty and for iconic men like Cary Grant, Alfred Hitchcock, Fred Astaire, and even Winston Churchill and Lord Mountbatten, to the beautiful resorts and hotels across Asia – THE DUKE covers it all!

The guides for this tour-de-force are celebrity hosts, Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez, formerly the pin-up boys of The Amazing Race Asia’s second season. Gaining major mileage and popularity around Asia from the Race, these alpha males are indisputably one of the boys with their charming and cheeky humour and hands on sports savvy, besides being smouldering, seasoned ladies' men.

Singapore personality Eunice Olsen bravely joins the alpha-male duo as the only female host on this men's magazine show. The winner of Miss Singapore-Universe in 2000, Eunice is also the youngest Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore and has hosted shows covering the arts and women's issues. It’s without a doubt that she will add a delicious dimension with her intelligent and feminine perspectives!

THE DUKE promises a fantastic showcase of Asia’s elite men, so be sure to come on board this fabulous life in the big boy’s club when it premieres first and exclusively on AXN this February 9 at 8pm. For more information, please log onto www.axn-asia.com
