Kapamilya stars at Sinulog festival

This year, the Kapamilya network promises to give everyone a special Sinulog treat never experienced before in the South. There will be exclusive coverages from live points in Cebu aired over at ABS-CBN Cebu and ABS-CBN 2. The Queen City of the South comes alive through colorful events lined up especially for Kapamilyas.

Aside from the most anticipated street parade with participants in bright colored costumes doing festive dance rituals, there are some must see shows for every Kapamilya’s pure delight.

Kapamilyas from Cebu will have the time of their lives with the coming of the Kapamilya Karavan: Sinulog Festival 2009 and other equally entertaining treats.

Have fun with loved ones and friends at the MOR Disco Ta Lupig Sila sa E-Mall tomorrow, Jan. 16 and on Jan. 17 and 18, 7 p.m. at the E-mall Sanciangko Parking Area. For music-lovers, the Kapamilya Fiesta with Pinoy Dream Academy is cut out for everyone. Catch the album tour of scholars Lizelle, Van and Sen tomorrow, 4 p.m. at the SM Entertainment Center. Adding more excitement is the Cebu Pop Music Festival at 6 p.m. of the same day at the Cebu Coliseum and will be aired live over DYAB 1512. The highlight of the Kapamilya Karavan: Sinulog Festival 2009 will be no less than the presence of John Lloyd Cruz and the Banana Split girls Angelica Panganiban, Cristine Reyes and Roxanne Guinoo. They will perform on Jan. 17, 4 p.m. at the Ayala South Surface Parking Area. At 7 p.m., party hard at the MOR Sinulog Concert 2009 Lupig Sila with Parokya Ni Edgar and local bands Phylum, Aggressive Audio, Agadiers and Pasakanin at the CSCST Main Campus, MJ Cuenco Ave. On Jan. 18, catch the Kapamilya Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras live over ABS-CBN TV-3 Cebu and DYAB 1512 at 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively. Wrapping up the week-long festival is the Kapamilya Fiesta With Vhong Navarro on Jan. 18, 4 p.m. at the SM Entertainment Center. The Kapamilya Karavan: Sinulog Festival 2009 continues to spread cheer as Vhong proceeds to the Mango Ave. at 6:30 p.m. of the same day. Watch out for the Ms. Cebu 2009 happening this week at the Waterfront Lahug Hotel & Casino, which airs on Jan. 25 on MAG-TV at 10:45 a.m.
