Miss India is 2008 Miss Tourism International

Manasvi Mamgai of India, 21, reacts after she was named Miss Tourism International 2008 World Final during New Year’s Eve celebration in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, last Dec. 31.

First runner-up was Miss Brazil (Cibele Franczak), Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International); second runner-up was Miss Bosnia Herzegovina (Alma Mulalic), Miss Tourism Metropolitan International); third runner-up was Miss Thailand (Ananya Chinsangchai), Miss Tourism Global; and the fourth runner-up was Miss Hong Kong (Ruby Wong), Miss Cosmopolitan International.

Forty beauties from around Asia and the Pacific competed in the annual event held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

The Philippine bet was among the 15 semi-finalists.
