Silverdale Boyz back in Manila

After charming Pinoy music enthusiasts with songs Woah-uh-oh Girl and Hello Anong Pangalan Mo?, Silverdale Boyz goes back to Manila to promote Just Wanna Be With You this Christmas.

Just Wanna Be With You This Christmas is the carrier single of its second album Silverdale Boyz-I Just Wanna Be With You.

Due to the success of its self-titled debut album here and in London, James Michael Cruz, 10; Allan Richard Alemania, 11; and Lester Calucag, 12; returns to the local music scene with a Christmas offering.

I Just Wanna Be With You This Christmas is an original composition of veteran song writer-producer Fredric Herrera. It combines a playful Christmas tune and sweet, captivating lyrics, which blends well the boys’ young yet impressive, polished voices. Other songs in the album include other Herrera compositions like the pop-semi novelty-ish Bata-bata Pa Po Kame! and It’s Boy’s Life. Classic cover songs given a different twist include I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, Ever Since The World Began and Buttercup.

The Silverdale Boyz will promote its album in radio and TV programs which includes a special appearance on ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda tomorrow, Dec. 25. You can also catch them live on Dec. 26 at SM Bicutan, Dec. 27, SM San Lazaro and Dec. 30, SM Marikina.

Members of the group started with Maharlika Singing Ambassadors and formed their own band in 2007 under Herrera’s management and tutelage. Silverdale Boyz is popular in the Filipino community in London having won several titles and competitions individually.

The group was spotted by a music executive in one of its gigs and offered a recording contract. However, the group has already signed with Camden Media Productions, a London-based management company.

Silverdale Boyz’s albums are released in the Philippines via Alpha Records.
