MTV Music Summit on Windows Live

Music fans are prepping up for the 5th MTV Staying Alive Music Summit 2008 which airs via live streaming on Windows Live today. It is the first airing of the said concert via web cast at all Netopia outlets nationwide.

The annual music summit gathers the biggest performers in support of MTV Networks International’s Staying Alive campaign for HIV/AIDS awareness. Mandy Moore, Duncan Sheik, Joshua Payne, The Barbs, Jay Sean and Mig Ayesa joined the event in previous years.

This year’s concert acts include 6Cyclemind, Bamboo, Callalily, Chicosci, Hale, Itchyworms, Kitchie Nadal, Parokya ni Edgar, Pupil, Rivermaya, Sandwich, Silent Sanctuary, Urbandub and other prominent guests from the entertainment, sports, business and public service sectors. The summit will be aired live from SM Mall of Asia.

MTV Philippines has been holding the event since 2003. It has become the voice of the youth where they express support for HIV/AIDS prevention through music. The event also aims to spread awareness and encourage active participation from influential groups.
