Christian guest in Sitti's B-day show

The Philippine Star

Christian Bautista will be Sitti’s special guest in her birthday concert tomorrow, Nov. 29, 8 p.m. at the Mandarin Oriental Manila’s Captain’s Bar.

Christian will sing his hits and perform a duet with Sitti. “It’s always a pleasure working with Christian. I like his style because he’s relaxed on stage and, I think, our voices blend well. I’m happy that we just recently recorded a duet for his latest album,” says Sitti.Titled First, the concert will trace the roots of Sitti, through songs — how she started, her rise to fame, success and plans. This is the first time Sitti will do this kind of show and her first time to have a birthday concert.

Sitti is excited about the show. “Every birthday is special, but this one is more special than the others because I’m not just turning another year older,” she says. “I’m celebrating all the good things that have come my way since I started singing professionally.”One of the highlights is the number where she sings and dances like Jennifer Lopez. Sitti will do the song Bail with a dance sequence.

Myrus will be the show’s front act. First is directed by Calvin Neria from the script by Noel Ferrer. Naldy Rodriguez is musical director. First is produced by May Arenas of Echo Jham Entertainment, One World Music Production, Inc., Music Museum, Mandarin Oriental Manila, Pagcor, Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol, Equal, Ensure with Fiber, Circulan, Lung Care Plus, Pearl of the Pacific, Pink Pepper Cuisine FranÁaise, Tangerine Skies Artist PR & Entertainment Gateway, Shunji Matsuo Hair Studio (Pasig City), Manila Times, Business Mirror and 105.1 Crossover. Tickets are available at SM Ticketworld outlets (tel. no. 891-9999), Mandarin Oriental Manila (750-8888, local 2446) and Music Museum (721-0635 and 721-6726).
