Don't count Avi out yet
Avi Siwa may now be out of showbiz radar, but don’t count her out yet. Avi is busy as endorser of Beverly Hills 6750 on breast augmentation.
Years ago, Avi was one of the hosts of GMA 7’s Out, a program about gays and lesbians. The show was considered ahead of its time and the Filipino audience was not ready for it yet. Avi also made movies for Viva Films but realized that filmmaking was not for her. Her name then resurfaced via a real life scandal involving a brawl with her ex-boyfriend in Boracay. That was the last time we heard of her.
“When you’re young, you feel like the world is yours, and you’re free to do anything,” Avi says. “That time I wasn’t thinking about what the repercussions of my actions were.”
Her rebellious streak included decisions like having breast implants at 18, something that a naturally flat-chested girl like Avi would fantasize to have. But much to her disappointment, she had to go through three breast augmentation procedures before the right fit came along.
“I had my first breast augmentation when I was 18. As a teenager, I was shy. I didn’t have confidence because I was flat-chested so I saved up enough money from operating a bar in Makati, added that to money from my parents, and I went through with the operation,’’ Avi says. Unfortunately, the first three surgeries turned out to be botched.
Avi is finally getting things right. First, she has just survived an abusive relationship and choosing to love herself first. She broke off her engagement to her Swedish fiancé, a model, and came back to the Philippines to start her life again.
“I came back to the Philippines with a personal vendetta: To turn my life around,” Avi says. “It’s time to rebuild my dream, create my business empire.’”
With her newfound aspiration came a yearning: A new look. So Avi did her research and stumbled upon Beverly Hills 6750. Earlier this year, she had her fourth breast augmentation. This time, things went perfectly well — her breasts are in the right size, the right shape, just the way she wants them to be, ever since.
“Even as I woke up after the surgery, I knew I made the right choice with BH6750. The environment was so sterile, it felt safe and clean. My surgeon and the two anesthesiologists assured me that everything would be fine. There was even a flat screen TV inside the recovery room and I thought I didn’t want to leave!’’ Avi says.
Everything was uphill after that. Looking at the mirror days after the operation, Avi knew she finally got it right or BH6750 got it right.
‘’For those who would wish to undergo any beauty enhancement procedure, I would advise that they make intelligent choices,” she says. “Be discerning. Earn the confidence of your doctors. You have every right to check their credentials. Ask. Never settle for anything less than what you deserve. As in any medical procedure, there are risks but when you are with a topnotch institute with medical practitioners who have a sterling professional background then all fears vanish.”
To young girls, wait till you are ready.
