-

20th Century Fox pops up its can of 2009 movie line-up with its latest batch of comedy, thriller, horror and romantic flicks.

Bride Wars is the ultimate chick flick romance-comedy on dream weddings, bff and bridezillas starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson. In the movie, Liv (Hudson) and Emma (Hathaway) are best friends since childhood. Together they plan their respective weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination and their lifelong dream location, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error pits the two brides.

The romantic-epic Australia stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman in an extraordinary love story amidst the backdrop of World War II. Kidman plays an aristocratic English woman, while Jackman is a tough cattle drover. They embark on a remarkable journey across hundreds of miles of Australia’s most brutal terrain.

Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson star in Marley and Me, where dog lovers can relate to. The movie tells the true story of a couple (John and Jenny Grogan) who are both great animal lovers and decide to get a dog before starting a family. Little do they know how this wonderfully neurotic but inevitably loving dog will change their lives.

Tom Cruise stars in Valkyrie based on the July 20 Plot on Hitler’s life. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise) returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler’s once he is dead. But fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg from one of many in the plot to a double-edged central role.

Ashley Tisdale stars in her first comedy feature They Came From Upstairs wherein a group of children attempt to defend their Maine vacation home from invading extraterrestrial forces.

Sandra Bullock goes ballistic in All About Steve as a crossword puzzle instructor Mary Horowitz who stalks a news cameraman after one date believing that she has found her soul mate.

Hayden Panatierre stars in I Love You Beth Cooper that follows the adventures of a high school valedictorian who decides he has nothing to lose by making a play for the popular cheerleader, declaring his love during the graduation speech.

Dragonball is the exciting new action adventure about an ordinary teenager named Goku who discovers he has a daunting destiny to fulfill: He must try to prevent the destruction of the planet. The futuristic coming of age story stars Justin Chatwin as the story’s hero.

Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the role that made him a superstar — as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program.

Ben Stiller tops The Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian. In the sequel, the Museum of Natural History is closed down for upgrading and the exhibits are put into storage at the Federal Archives in Washington, D.C. Amy Adams will play Amelia Earheart who comes to life and has a crush on security guard Larry (Stiller).

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson pretties up in the family comedy Tooth Fairy. The Rock stars as Derek Thompson, a minor-league hockey player whose nickname is the Tooth Fairy because of his ability to knock out opposing players’ teeth. When he discourages a youngster’s hope, Derek is ordered to one week’s hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with wings, magic wand and frilly tutu. Along the way, he rediscovers his forgotten dreams.
