Seminars on Effective SPED strategies will be conducted this month and in December by Patricia Muñoz, a fully credentialed special education in California. Lined up are the following: Techniques to Become Effective Educators & Parents to Children with Special Needs on Nov. 23; Preparing an Effective Individualized Education Plan (IEP), a Vital Tool in the SPED Program, Dec. 14; How to Cope When Your Child or Student is Special, Dec. 23; and Music, a Powerful Therapy Intervention for Children with Special Needs, Dec. 28. The last two will be co-facilitated by Virgilio Antonio.
All seminars will be conducted at Protégé SPED Center, Unit 1A Rexxon’s Arcade, 36 Xavierville Ave., Loyola Heights, Quezon City (tel. nos. 0918-3588855, 436-2620 or 415-1959). Seminar hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration starts 8 a.m. Protégé conducts weekday classes on SPED Teaching Strategies and IEP Process and Writing. Basic Sign Language classes will be conducted from Dec. 21 to Jan. 3. Muñoz also gives consultancy on setting up special education schools and programs.
