Sarah scores another hit show

The concert, Sarah Geronimo: The Next One, has catapulted Sarah Geronimo (photo) into the rarefied realm few performers ever reached. She enthralled thousands of fans that packed the Big Dome, and in the end they showered her with adulation by giving her a standing ovation.

Sarah went through every number with the supreme confidence of a seasoned performer, energizing her audience. They went wild when she did a duet with John Lloyd Cruz, her leading man in A Very Special Love.

Also adding glitter to the show were Billy Crawford, Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao and Rayver Cruz.

Sarah sang the theme song of Baler, Star Cinema’s entry to the forthcoming Metro Manila Film Festival composed by Louie Ocampo, the show’s musical director.

Interviewed after the show, Sarah admitted that her biggest concern was if her fans would be satisfied. “It’s not important how many fans came to watch the show. I was more worried about making them happy.”

She thanked Him for not letting her down.

Perhaps the biggest praise came from Billy. “Sarah was awesome. She was amazing. She is truly The Next One.”

So what’s next for Sarah? All signs point to another fruitful year — a string of concerts, more albums and a sequel to the box-office grosser A Very Special Love.
