It doesn’t matter if you are a regular viewer of the Kapamilya station or the Kapuso network. Chances are you have seen Tsoko.Nut Batirol being featured on their shows.
The Pinoy tsokolate shop has done the rounds of top-rated programs on both broadcast giants such as Boy & Kris on ABS-CBN, Us Girls on Studio 23, Shop Talk on ANC, Day Off, The Beat, Go Negosyo Bigtime and Sweet Life on Q-11.
These shows tackled what titillates the Pinoy palate and were unanimous in their adulation of the newest sensation among the XYZ generation: Tsoko.Nut Batirol’s tsokolate or chocolate drink, which is giving the imported chains’ brewed coffee concoctions a run for their money.
The traditional Pinoy hand-beaten (with the wooden beater or batirol whence comes the food shop’s name) hot drink comes in three variants: with peanuts (mani) or (kasuy), and pinipig. Tsoko.Nut Batirol, the Pinoy coffee and chocolate shop has been promoting the authentic chocolate drink from cacao beans, bringing back the good old days when our grandmothers would gather us for merienda of pan de sal with quesong puti or ensaymada rolled in sugar, with the piping hot tsokolate.
With branches at SM Makati, Walter Mart Makati, Dela Rosa Carpark 1-Makati, RCBC Plaza, Excelsior in Libis-QC, and soon at E-Telecare-Shaw Blvd, Tsoko.Nut is usually represented either by Teddy S. Pereña (a business partner) or Zell dela Cruz (marketing manager), in the interview portions of the said prime time programs.
Last month, Tsoko.Nut Batirol was an instant hit in the Tara Let’s Eat Food Fair of QTV-The Beat at the Eastwood Central Plaza where they offered Tsokolate Ah Batirol, Leche Plan Cake, Tablea Cake and Napoleones.
Starting this month until Dec. 20, Tsoko Nut Batirol can be seen at the ABS-CBN compound for Santa’s Workshop with items perfect for the holiday season. It’s Tsokolate Ah Batirol and Ensaymada with Quezo de Bola are enjoying brisk sales.
