Annabelle 'floating' on Cloud 9

Annabelle Rama has 56 reasons to be floating on Cloud 9.

She has a hit movie (My Monster Mom), products to endorse, a happy family and talents she manages pretty well.

That’s why she celebrated her 56th birthday (Oct. 30) last Saturday, Oct. 25, five days in advance in style...aboard Willie Revillame’s newly-bought yacht M/Y Wow Cruiser and Deputy National Security Adviser Chavit Singson’s yacht Escalera.

Well-wishers shared a buffet dinner-on-cruise, one hour around Manila Bay. “Grabe!” as Annabelle and Eddie Gutierrez’s only daughter Ruffa Gutierrez would say. Sosyal!

In the moonlit night, the birthday girl’s diamond sparkled like a thousand stars.

“Come in your most comfortable attire,” she reminded those invited. She showed up in a simple dress.

What else could Annabelle wish for?

“Good health,” she said. “Just that. Good health for me and my family. And for my family to be together habang buhay.”

Among the well-wishers: Sunshine Cruz, Beth Tamayo, Pops Fernandez, GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Abrogar and husband Lito, GMA vice president for GMA program management Joey Abacan, JC de Vera and Rhian Ramos, Ana Roces and Almira Muhlach, Malou Choa-Fagar, Celia Rodriguez, Ehra and Michelle Madrigal, Paolo and Bubbles Paraiso, Tim Yap, TJ Trinidad, Phoemela Baranda, Nadia Montenegro with daughter Yna Asistio, and Richard Gomez and wife Lucy Torres.

Those who came late and missed the cruise were Gretchen Barretto, Alfie Lorenzo, Assunta de Rossi, Rufa Mae Quinto, Miriam Quiambao, Cesar Montano, Gabby Concepcion and ABS-CBN executive Deo Endrinal.

The celebration continued way past midnight at the Manila Yacht Club.
