And speaking of white houses, and while we are in the topic of mga kakila-kilabot (aswang, white ladies, etc.), the White House in Washington, D.C. is expecting a new resident and president by November this year. Of course, you have noticed the similarity of the names of the Democratic presidential candidate OBAMA and 9/11 Twin Towers terrorist attack mastermind OSAMA. Hussein pa man din ang middle name! Sa DEM pa siya! Ngek!

Obama has recently named and announced that Delaware Sen. Joe Biden will be his Vice Presidential candidate. Now, try inserting the letters “NLA” between the letters “I” and “D” of Biden. Strange?

Here’s something about a real White House lady.   When Eat, Bulaga! did a show at the Los Angeles Sports Arena last July 19 of this year, a loyal supporter of TVJ since our early days, Bernadette Bandril, came to see the show with her family. Bernadette is currently the personal cook of former First Lady of the United States of America, Nancy Reagan.

We learned that she has been with the Reagans for nearly 12 years now and when President Ronald Reagan was still around.

In the mid-‘80s, she first shared her culinary skills with another American Icon — the legendary Academy Award-winning actor, Fred Astaire. According to her, it was Astaire who introduced her to international cooking. As a matter of fact, the late great actor even sponsored her schooling to further her expertise in the culinary arts. She also worked for Hollywood director and producer James Burrows, who worked on several top-rating shows including hits like Cheers, Friends, Taxi, Will & Grace, the Mary Tyler Moore show and many more.

After our show, she surprised us with numerous souvenirs. Among the beautiful items given to us, one really made us scream and smile — a signed photograph of the former First Lady Nancy Reagan. According to Bernadette, “Minsan ay nakikipanood si Mrs. Reagan ng TV kapag nanonood ako ng Eat, Bulaga!.” At one point, the former First Lady was very elated to hear that the famous “JUST SAY NO” slogan popularized by her was asked as one of the trivia questions on the show. I forgot to ask her kung gusto rin ni Nancy Reagan ang mga “wala yan sa lolo ko” jokes namin. Ngik!

Yesterday, we started a new portion on GMA 7’s Saturday showbiz talk show, Startalk. We call it “DIUMANO.” Many believe that this will make the blind item style of gossiping outmoded. Diumano is hosted by Commentirador, Ang Komentaristang may Tirador. By the way, he is the twin brother of this writer’s mole, Elvistigador. Eto ang ilang patikim…

“Nitong mga nakaraang linggo, napabalitang isang babaeng host ng isang noontime show ang diumano ay tinukso na mukhang aswang.
