A purely family affair

As Funfare has been reporting in ‘scoop’ stories, the wedding of Joyce Jimenez and Paul Ely Egbalic last Saturday, Aug. 23, was simple and quiet, with only close relatives and family friends (above) invited. The venue was the San Lorenzo Ruiz Church in Walnut, California, where Joyce is a parishioner.

Dr. Vicki Belo and Joyce’s manager Shirley Kuan (right) flew to California to stand as principal sponsors.

‘It was simple, all right, but it was very solemn,’ said Vicki.

‘That’s how Joyce wanted her wedding to be,’ added Shirley.

Joyce and Paul, who was born in Quezon City but grew first in Japan (where his father, who was with the US Navy, was based) and then in California, met three years ago.

Joyce will fly back in three weeks time to resume her showbiz commitments and attend to her Private Joyce Lingerie business.
