Anne Curtis wants to settle down

SIZZLING HOT - Juliana Palermo - The Philippine Star

Soap operas are called soap operas mainly because according to TV history, these TV shows were sponsored by soap manufacturers in the ‘30s.

I’ve just learned that recently and realized that until this very day, a lot of soap manufacturers are still very much visible in sponsoring these types of entertainment.

ABS-CBN’s Maging Sino Ka Man is one of the very few soaps I really followed, so far. The one before that, which got me nearly glued on the TV set every night, was Mara Clara, then Ysabella.

Now on its book two, Maging Sino Ka Man still continues to make the viewers’ nights very exciting.

Every single character is well-executed. And this is exactly why I make sure I get updates on what’s happening when I’m not home to watch.

Both love teams of Sam Milby-Anne Curtis and Bea Alonzo-John Lloyd Cruz have such great chemistry that when they are hurt, you can nearly feel their pain.

Anne’s character Celine, a cancer patient with a touch of spice in her personality, is not exactly the easiest role to portray.

As Celine, Anne must play a character who feels weak from sickness but who has a strong will. I really enjoy watching the show.

That night when they aired the episode where JB (Sam’s character) got shot, I was literally sitting on my couch wondering how things would be if he died and left Celine.

Then my phone rang. It was my manager telling me I had taping the very next day for Maging Sino Ka Man.

That’s when I realized JB won’t die on that hospital bed. What a relief!

Watch out for my character, Vanessa. She will make Celine’s life even more interesting this coming week.

Speaking of Anne, she’s one young lady with the “full package” (looks, fame, etc.). She even manages to be well-grounded. She has every right and reason to feel that she’s above everyone else. Yet she stays humble and knows there is a bigger God.

Anne celebrated her 10th year in the business last November. She says, “I’ve always wanted to settle down. I’ve always wanted to be a young mom. Hopefully, five years from now, I would be married with kids.”

Five years is just right around the corner. Time just goes by so fast. Anne admits she is getting ready to start a family of her own, although she still has many dreams to fulfill before settling down.

She is a proud Christian and is very vocal about it. “I want to be a pre-school teacher. I really feel it’s God’s plan that I study in a different country. I don’t know what God has in store for me, but if He uses me as a pre-school teacher, I can also become a missionary,” Anne talks about her goals this year.

She is very soft-spoken and very easy to work with on and off the set. She truly is a sweetheart.

I also met her father, who brought in food for Anne’s personal assistant, who was celebrating her birthday on the set. This was when I saw that Anne is not only a good actress, but also a good daughter.

She’s very sweet to her father. There is no need to ask why Anne is blessed.

She has God in her heart, and everything else follows. Five years from now, Anne might read this article again, but this time with a baby in her arms. Good luck to you, Anne!

Have a great week ahead!
