His personal life during the same 25 years has not gone as smoothly as the singing but just as nobody remains unchanged by anything, no problem, no matter how difficult is fated to stay unsolved. Bukas Palad started as an informal gathering of music lovers from the Ateneo, who were driven by the passion to compose and record original liturgical music. Among the best-known works to emerge from this are Tanging Yaman, Anima Christie, Sa ‘Yo Lamang, Panalangin sa Pagiging Bukas Palad and Hindi Kita Malilimutan. It’s in the Genes is so apt a title for a concert that features mommy Annie Brazil and children Richard Merk and Rachel Anne Wolfe. The show will show where Richard and Rachel Anne got their singing chops. But sad for these kids, it will also prove that they still have a lot to learn as far as holding a candle to their mom's magnificent styling is concerned. Of course, if they continue to work hard on their music, I am sure one day they, too, will have the same artistry and command of the audience Annie excels in.
