"Kris could have checked out yesterday but she didn’t want to leave our baby behind," her husband James Yap told Funfare in a phone interview yesterday afternoon. "The doctors said the baby couldn’t go home until Sunday."
James Jr., delivered at four pounds by Caesarian section last April 19, is out of the incubator where he remained for one week and is regularly breast-fed by Mama Kris who herself has been declared out of danger by the doctors after she suffered from hypertension (and gestational diabetes). The blood clot in her lungs responded to medication and needed no surgery.
"The tubes have been removed from her body," said James who has stayed close to Kris and the baby, except tomorrow when he goes to Baguio for the all-star games. "She’s okay now. Our baby is doing well, too, and he’s gaining weight."
Because of her delicate condition, it might take sometime before Kris goes back to work.
1994 Miss World Aishwarya Rai, 33, now a respected actress in her native India, got married to Bollywood heartthrob Abhishek Bachchan, 32, in a traditional Hindu ceremony Friday last week. 2005 Miss Universe Natalie Glebova (of Canada), is scheduled to tie the knot either in November or December this year with ace Thai tennis player Paradorn Srichaphan. Their engagement was announced last week at a Bangkok Hotel where Paradorn draped Natalie with 16-carat diamonds, including a three-carat engagement ring, a necklace and earrings given by his parents.
Aishwarya and Abhishek (voted last year by a British newspaper as The Sexiest Man in Asia) have starred together in several movies. The couple will live with Abhishek’s father, movie icon Amitabh Bachchan.
Natalie won her title in Thailand where she remained after her reign.
"She isn’t the only celebrity romantically linked to Paradorn," revealed the beauty experts. "Thai pop singer Tata Young is one of his former girlfriends."
The satire, which pokes fun at popular/famous figures (Cory Aquino and daughter Kris, Erap, Manny Pacquiao, etc.), is produced by ASAP Live.
Now on its 15th year, Rock da Vote stars Jon Santos, Candy Pangilinan, Pooh and John Lapus, with Tessie Tomas as special guest reprising her hilarious spoof of Imelda Marcos.
The repeat performances are scheduled for May 5, 11 and 12. Tickets are available at the Music Museum box office and Ticketworld outlets (telephone 891-9999).
Actually the list was culled from an episode of The Morning Rush hosted by Chico and Delamar on Monster Radio RX 93.1 There’s a segment in that program called Top 10.
I actually sent that topic and then Chix and Del asked the listeners to sms their answers. The most creative entries made it to the Top 10.
Suffice it to say, the piece of witticism should be attributed to the avid listeners of Chico and Delamar’s morning program.
Thank you and more power and allow me to congratulate The Morning Rush for keeping us company every morning. Talk about fun, intelligent and clean entertainment on radio.
