Hair, there & everywhere

We are judged by our appearance way before our values and beliefs are considered or acknowledged.
I was hoping to use the terms "sometimes" or "often" in my first line, but that’s just not how it works around here.
Judgmental people are all over the place and being misjudged happens all the time.
Being part of the entertainment business holds the responsibility in creating style and influencing people.
Fame equates to power. Having power can influence those around us, the country, and even the whole world.
Every year or season comes new trends. What we don’t really notice is that these things go around in circles, they just repeat themselves years after years.
We can blame the entertainment industry for the ensembles worn on the streets. Its stars are simply followers of "fashion."
Like I’ve mentioned before, how can black nail polish make someone look beautiful?
The face is usually the first thing one gets noticed of a person.
A little zit or blemish on a Hollywood actress’ face can possibly become a front page story on the tabloids.
All the little things are noticed and talked about all over the globe.
A new haircut or color draws the most attention to people. It’s actually good to also experiment and see what looks best especially when you’re in this kind of business.
I easily get tired of my hairstyle and somehow feel the need to do something different to it every couple of weeks.
I haven’t really considered walking inside a closed salon, picking up a shaver and just shave my head like what Britney Spears did.
Shaving your head is just as good as simply getting a new cut, right? I’ve seen a couple of women with a shaved head, but this was when Demi Moore made it look good some few years back.
I see nothing wrong in choosing to go bald, like Britney did, but I can’t quite comment on the closed salon that she asked to be opened.
They always say that when a woman cuts her hair or opens herself to a different look means that she has got problems, or oftentimes is heart-broken.
I’ve come to a conclusion that cutting hair, for women that is, symbolizes a different vibe and attitude.
If there’s a problem involved, the act psychologically means letting go or starting something new.
The person we see in the mirror determines a lot of the way we handle and react to things. A new cut can bring confidence; it could mean a million things.
There are very few Filipino celebrities who can pull off a short cut. Most of the time, in a conservative country like ours, women are preferred to have long and straight hair.
The market has included long hair into the definition of a true Filipina beauty. This is why most actresses have long hair, and we’re right on with the latest.
As we take a peek at some of our well-known Hollywood stars who graced the annual Academy Awards last Feb. 25, I noticed a new simple trend they are setting for the world.
The beautiful ladies either had long and straight, or short with some curls. Quick and simple hairstyles can be worn both for day and night events.
Red lipstick was also overflowing during the awards event. It brings back the all-time pretty woman look with red luscious lips.
I don’t think everyone can pull off red lipstick though, it’s just a little too much for a normal event.
Long layered hair has also been around for quite some time now and still holds itself to the most common haircut.
The cut can look good on anyone. It’s going to get extra hot come summertime, so we better get started working on our fitness and start collecting different looks to choose from.
It won’t hurt to try something new every season. You can always go back to your long hair with extensions.
This is the latest trend now for women who have made mistakes in going for a short bob.
I tried the bob a couple of years ago, and the short cut just didn’t go too well with my attitude.
I started getting hair extensions done and ever since, I’ve gotten addicted to them.
I’ve tried many different kinds of hair extensions and so far, Fred of HAIRSHAFT Salon in The Podium, is my favorite hang-out to get my hair done.
Have a great Sunday!
