Christmas is for the family

Yes, it’s true: Christmas is for kids and kids-at-heart which we all are, aren’t we?

It’s also for the family, a time for reunions and renewal of ties, of letting bygones be bygones and unloading your chest of emotional burden which, according to doctors, can cause serious (physical) illness.

Still the best piece of advice is for you and I to travel light through the otherwise torturous, long-winding highways and byways of the journey called Life.

Oops!
One day after Christmas and five days to another New Year and I’m waxing sentimental? Pardon me but that’s the annual hang-over I get after the hustle-and-bustle of – oh no, not last-minute Christmas shopping... sorry, no time even for that! – catching up with the endless year-end deadlines.

Yes, I’m typing this story with a glass-ful of Alka Seltzer beside me. Gulp! Burp! Gulp!! Burp!!

And all I’m trying to say actually is that there’s not just three winners in Funfare’s annual Best Christmas Card "contest" but about a dozen. Like in judging a beauty pageant where all the candidates look like winners, I had a hard time sorting out the "winning" cards. No kidding!

But as I said earlier, this season is not just for kids and kids-at-heart but also, more so, for family.

So here are the "winning" and winsome family-oriented Christmas cards Funfare received this year...
