Ogie is Aliw Entertainer of the Year

Ogie Alcasid emerged as 2006 Entertainer of the Year at the 19th Annual Aliw Awards Night at Manila Hotel.
Ogie, however, could not personally receive the award because he had to be in Australia to celebrate his daughters birthday.

Executive Committee is chaired by Yolanda Stern and assisted by Cherrie Araw and Alice Villanueva (co-chairpersons). Members are Myrna Yao, Baby Ortiz, Lourdes Ondette Kempis, Ma. Theresa Lacandola, Susan Marquez, Elisa Dayao, Carmelita Manazan, Estrella Lajom Roman and Zenaida Reyes.
The presentation was produced by Babes Encarnacion and Cherrie Araw, directed by Al Quinn and hosted by Marc Nelson, Vina Morales and Heart Evangelista. It was supported by One World Institute and Manila Bulletin.
Beneficiaries were St. Joseph Pastoral Councils Youth Ministry and the Alagad ni Maria Religious group. Local government units and non-government organizations which supported the presentation will get wheelchairs free by the One World Institute of Yolanda Stern.
