Many people talk much about Anne Curtis, and theres no need of asking why. Her face is everywhere (on magazine covers and TV commercials).
Her role in ABS-CBNs Kampanerang Kuba exemplifies the paradox of it all, which only catapults her further into stardom.
On why her every move is either highly celebrated or highly criticized, her answer comes plain and simple: "You cant please everybody." She also doesnt have the time to lose too much sleep over it since she is one of the busiest stars around. Her tapings are done every day from morning till midnight and her endorsements, modeling and TV hosting activities take up much of her time in between. Its a far cry from where she began.
Anne grew up in Melbourne, Australia and was raised without a yaya. She had been making her own bed, washing her own clothes and keeping house with her dad before she was discovered while eating at a hamburger joint in Manila.
Anne was only 12 when a talent scout for product commercials spotted her. She couldnt speak Tagalog then, and her Australian father was skeptical about her joining the glamor industry. It was Annes Filipino mother who insisted that her daughter take the plunge. That was when Anne landed the role of a princess in Vivas fantasy flick, Magic Kingdom. Then came the guest appearances in TV soaps like Ikaw Na Sana, but it was her stint as a mainstay of TGIS that sealed her inevitable stardom.
In the suspense thriller Ika-13 Kapitulo, Anne played the role of the devils daughter, which again ran counter to her sweet image. Nonetheless, the role gave her showbiz persona a new dimension and her fans a glimpse of her headstrong character.
Annes personal character and captivating presence made her the endorser of the first ever anti-itch conditioner from Head & Shoulders.
"Anne perfectly personifies what Head & Shoulders Total Conditioner is all about no trade-offs," says Procter & Gamble country PR manager Jamie Endaya. "Shes played a lot of roles that focused on her beautiful sweet image without compromising her capability to play serious roles. The new H&S conditioner offers beautiful, smooth hair like regular conditioners in the market. But unlike regular conditioners, it also gives up to 100 percent scalp itch protection. So it cares for both your hair and scalp with no trade-offs."
For Anne, Head & Shoulders Total Conditioner is exactly what she needs to keep herself in perfect form throughout her busy day.
