"It feels pretty weird. I dont understand what qualifies fame anymore. Before, you have to be talented or something. I dont have any of those traits," chuckles Borgy. "Im the kind who just stands here and talks a lot. So I dont understand why I am a celebrity. It doesnt make any sense to me."
Word has it that underneath his goofy and good-natured aura rests the insightful and no-nonsense Borgy. He reads magazines and newspapers on current social topics.
Having jet-setted every fashion hub in the world, born in a family known for opulent flair and panache, Borgy is just as normal as other city dwellers in New York. He lives on his own, does his own laundry, takes the subway or walks around the city, coops up with school tasks and even works part-time at a record label company.
Now that hes back in Manila, taking time off from his Advertising and Public Relations course in a college in New York, Borgy surrenders to the luxury his family has been accustomed to. Besides, having missed out on the nocturnal goings-on in the metro, the top image model hooks up with old pal Tim Yap on the party hotspot on TV, Club_TV, an ABC, J&G and 4757 Entertainment co-production that delights viewers into an electrifying world of music, fashion, urban lifestyle and mainstream partying. Catch a weekend dose of this heartthrob as he goes prancing and dancing with Tim plus a gaggle of partyphiles: hosts Laura Jean, Miggy Eugenio, Gabriel Valenciano and Guam-based dance group SKIP.
"It allows you to things you want, like bringing out your own character. And its something I love to do," says Borgy.
