Last week, the dreamers were asked to perform a comedy sketch, a sitcom, "Hollywood Style." We’re talking about Will and Grace, Friends and Frasier types of repartee that require more than a good sense of humor, but impeccable timing, good command of the language (English, in this case) and lots of talent. Despite an established record in the industry and regardless of his manager’s advice, John auditioned, and having been included in the final 15, strutted his stuff opposite equally talented and experienced actors like Raymond Bagatsing and Pinky Amador to name a few. There was even a time when his right foot was injured. Despite the pain, John insisted on participating in the Broadway (dancing, singing and acting) challenge. As host Eric Quizon puts it, a trooper indeed. However, judges thought John lacked enough "facial expression" to portray his role in the comedy sketch and blamed it on botox.
Failure is a risk John and other professional actors who auditioned for Hollywood Dream took in joining the show. In an interview, John says he doesn’t really see being eliminated as a letdown, but another step in passionately pursuing higher goals and bigger dreams.
Hollywood Dream is down to its final 10: Pinky Amador, Raymond Bagatsing, Roxie Barcelo, Baron Geisler, Hillary Isaac, Monica Llamas, Juddha Paolo, Rafael Rosell, Julia Clarete and Jaimie Wilson.
