ABS-CBN asks Marvin to quit Extra Challenge

FLASH: ABS-CBN asked Marvin Agustin (far right) to discontinue his guesting stint on rival channel GMA 7’s top-rating endurance show Extra Challenge, hosted by Paolo Bediones and Ethel Booba.

Still under contract with ABS-CBN and now managed by Genesis, headed by Angeli Pangilinan, Marvin’s only show at his home studio, MRS, closed recently. On Extra Challenge, he was being paired with former loveteam-mate Jolina Magdangal (right) along with ex-sweethearts Dominic Ochoa and Janna Victoria. Dominic is also an ABS-CBN contract artist.

Scenes that Marvin has already shot will be edited from the episodes which start airing on Monday, Aug. 15, with Jolina now cast as a "single mother."

Incidentally, Marvin is excited to be (an unwed) father. His non-showbiz girlfriend is giving birth anytime now. – RICKY LO.
