Entitled The Other Side, the special, "one-night only" concert will feature Sarah with her favorite Kuya, Mark Bautista and Piolo Pascual. As the concerts title indicates, it will showcase "the other side" of this popular young artist, an inspiration and role model to other young people who dare to dream big, just like her.
There will also be a second show on Oct. 15, 8 p.m. at Waterfront Hotel Lahug in Cebu City. This will give Sarahs Cebuano fans the chance to finally see her perform her hit songs like Forevers Not Enough, Can This Be Love and I Wanna Know What Love Is live and up close.
Tickets to the Sept. 30 concert are available at SM Ticketnet outlets and the Araneta Coliseum box-office and are priced at P1,500 (patron A and B), P1,000 (lower box), P500 (Upper Box A), P250 (Upper Box B) and P150 (General Admission).
The show has been a long time coming. Sarah has performed at the Araneta before, but it was with her fellow champions in Night of the Champions and Pinoy Idols: Battle of the Popstars. This time, the spotlight will be entirely hers.
While admitting she is a bit intimidated by the thought of doing a solo concert in the biggest indoor venue in the land, Sarah is more than ready to stand up to the challenge.
"I have long dreamt of holding a solo concert there," says Sarah. "Feeling ko kasi, doon ko lang matatawag ang sarili ko na isang tunay na concert artist, kapag nakapag-solo na ako sa Araneta."
This will be the biggest challenge Sarah will face in her career. But if theres anyone who can pull it off, its Sarah. Her achievements speak for themselves: a triple platinum award for the Star For A Night album, a quintuple platinum award for her debut solo recording, Popstar and a double platinum for her latest release Sweet Sixteen, which contains her latest single, the revival of a I Wanna Know What Love Is. She also has several number one singles, including To Love You More, Forevers Not Enough, Sa Iyo, How Could You Say You Love Me, and Can This Be Love.
Sarah also copped four nominations in the MTV Pilipinas 2004 awards race and another four in the 17th Awit Awards. She won for Best Performance by the New Female Recording Artist and Best Dance Recording for Sa Iyo.
