Sharons constant companion

It is just like Sharon Cuneta, well-loved by millions of Filipinos, to choose well from movie projects to songs to friends, to even the choice of a mobile phone network. The actress, singer, talk show host, model mom and wife, is also the latest endorser of GlobeHandyphone.
A Globe subscriber since the leading lifestyle innovator pioneered texting in 1997. Sharon was only too grateful when Globe pioneered texting seven years ago. "Mas mahilig akong mag-text. I really dont like taking and making phone calls, because Im always on my toes doing 10 things at the same time."
One little known text-related trivia about Sharon shows just how sentimental she is. She keeps a journal where she writes down (with multicolored pens!) all the memorable and inspiring text messages she gets every day! Her inbox is always full because she never deletes her favorite messages until shes written them on her journal. Shes filled up two big journals and two to three smaller notebooks so far and is looking forward to filling up the next during her break from her show. "One day when Im old, Id like to look back and read these text messages again and again," she says.
And since this stars work is never done, it is a comfort to her and her co-workers that her Globe Handyphone helps her organize her career. Her good friend and agent Sandy Santamaria texts her reminders on her schedule, her producers on her talk show and her network employers know that this star will always be within reach, as she is but a text message away. "My Globe Handyphone centralizes my network of contacts. All my friends, my staff, my bosses and business associates lahat nandoon," she gushes.
While Sharon may continue to play unforgettable characters onscreen, the one role she takes most seriously is her real life as a mother. "Hindi mo palaging mababantayan what children watch and read, and what goes on around them, but you have to be there and be aware of what theyre going through. You can try to be a constant presence in their lives, pero presence does not have to be physical. You can just hover in the background, let them know youre there and pwede ka nilang tawagan or i-text anytime," she says.
Globe has given Sharon the opportunity to reach out to her loving public with her message of love, at this time in her life. While she may be on hiatus from her TV show and the public eye to take care of herself and the child within her womb, her Globe television commercial is a clear, constant and powerful reminder that nothing is more important than family, even to a Megastar such as her. In the commercial, Sharon reminisces about simpler times with her family, and wistfully wishes how they can all keep together as is the wish of any parent who misses their children.
"We know that we cant keep children at home or keep parents from venturing out into greener pastures elsewhere. But the best that we offer every family is the promise to keep them together through their Globe Handyphones," says Chinky Alcedo, vice president for marketing of Globe Handyphone.
For this, Sharon, along with millions of other subscribers on Globe, is grateful. "Wherever you are, its nice to know that your family can always keep in touch with you. Yan ang pinakamahalaga sa akin. My family really is my life and I am very happy that Globe understands this."
