Lani Beyond Time at PICC
January 10, 2004 | 12:00am
This time, theres no turning back. After being postponed due to the visit of US President George W. Bush last October, Lani Misaluchas concert, Lani Beyond Time, will finally be staged at the PICC Plenary Hall on Saturday, Jan. 17.
The concert, Lanis first major one for 2004, has a formidable guest lineup led by Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid. Lani faced off with Regine, who also started with talent management company Primeline Inc. (owned by Ronnie and Ida Henares) in a recent concert.
In this show, the two divas repeat the feat once more in a duet of the haunting When You Believe. There built-in rapport (each did not steal the show from the other) seen in their highly-applauded duet also at the PICC last year, will again add flavor to the coming weekend show.
Ogie will not only do a solo spot number a medley of boy band songs. The hitmaker and songwriter will also do a duet of Guilty with Lani. Another guest is Luke Mejares of the soulful, soothing voice who will do a solo and a duet with Lani. Gabby Eigenmann will also display his singing talent in the highly-popular Hotel California.
Lanis repertoire will run the gamut of favorites from the 60s to the "90s, up to the present.
Lani may be visible on TV these days as a regular of GMA 7s SOP and mainstay/host of Celebrity Turns with Junie Lee (Saturdays, 9:30 p.m., GMA 7). But she has not neglected her recording career. She has just released her second single. Malaya Ka Na, from her album, Loving You under Viva Records.
This is on top of her corporate and TV guestings.
Tickets to Lani Beyond Time are available at P1,500, P1,200, P1,000, P800 P450 and P350 at National Bookstore branches, Robinsons Department Stores, Tower Records and Primeline Inc. (tel. 897-6170 to 72).
