The first Himig Hangdog Love Songs can be best remembered for spawning the monster hit Kung Ako Na Lang Sana by Bituin Escalante, which incidentally was the Grand Prize winner of last year’s competition. Other hits from that album were Jessa Zaragoza’s Hindi Na Bale Heart Evangelista’s Love Has Come My Way, Piolo Pascual’s Kung Ako Ba Siya, Wency Cornejo’s Hanggang and Chito Miranda’s This Guy’s In Love With You Pare.
