First Guarantee Life Assurance Co., Inc. (First Life), a leading local life insurance firm and arm of the Coyiuto Group of Companies, ties up with Regal Entertainment Inc. for Mano Po 2, an official entry to the upcoming annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). First Life president and CEO Peter Coyiuto, in cooperation with Lily Monteverde of Regal, initiated the opportunity to create awareness in the Filipino moviegoers about the value of life insurance. Producer Roselle Monteverde-Teo gave full support to the First Life campaign in Mano Po 2.
Coyiuto believes that the epic film drama about benefits of traditional Filipino-Chinese family is a good medium to enhance public responsiveness on life insurance. In the movie, Filipino wife Sol played by Susan Roces receives the life insurance taipan Antonio Chui played by Christopher de Leon.
Coyiuto says that "it is only life insurance that takes such a small portion of your money in good times and gives back so much in bad times, unlike banking and other financial products that take more in good times and give less in bad times. Real service cannot be bought nor measured with money, but only with sincerity and integrity." The executive hopes that with more Filipinos appreciating the merits of life insurance, the growth of the industry can in turn help in nation-building.
