Crossover presents Regine, Tux and the Opera tonight
October 23, 2003 | 12:00am
Tonight and on Oct. 30, fans of Regine Velasquez will be in for a special treat as she performs with the Tux and The Opera a repertoire of pure a capella music at the Captains Bar of the Mandarin Oriental.
It is the first time for Regine, Tux and The Opera to come together and explore this musical style. The Tux and The Opera are among the most versatile vocal groups in the music industry. They also continue to hone their talent and expand their boundaries in vocal music by delving into almost all forms of music genres involving vocal harmony such as traditional choral music, pop, mainstream jazz, smooth jazz, dance and rhythm and blues.
According to Sushi Reyes of The Opera, "We are truly excited about this because it has been our dream to do this type of show with Regine and Tux. I think the audience will find it interesting watching all of us blend our voices onstage without the help of any musical instruments. I dont think Regine has done a pure a capella performance in her other shows so it is really something to look forward to. The repertoire will be full of Regines all-time hits plus the most requested tunes."
Experience another enthralling performance from Regine as Crossover sets your Thursday nights (tonight and Oct. 30) to music. Dont miss these two engaging evenings of unadulterated music at the Captains Bar of the Mandarin Oriental.
This show is sponsored by Insular Life Income Earner and Café Puro Jade Blend and supported in part by Northwest Airlines, SM Advantage Loyalty Card, Petron Blaze, BPI Family Bank Happy Family Housing Loan, Philippine STAR, BPI Family Bank Happy Family Auto Loan Treat for Repeat Promo, Ford Motor Co. Phils., Royal Tru Orange Light, Enervon Tablet and Kenwood.
