A ‘sweet’ day at Sweet Inspirations

I had lunch the other day at Sweet Inspirations in Katipunan. We’d just finished our live Morning Girls and taping would resume at 4 p.m. because Korina (Sanchez) had a court hearing to attend. For several weeks, I’d really been wanting to have "Mongolian". I love the mixture of meat and (I normally opt for beef/ pork/ squid) seafood with crisp vegetables (I’m partial to bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage and red and green peppers), rice and a garlicky – chili – gingery sauce. I put a lot of the minced garlic, sili, ginger with some brown sugar, corn oil, two scoops of the regular Mongolian, 1/2 teaspoon of the chili paste, scoop of Teriyaki sauce and a scoop of the Szechuan or spicy sauce. I also like mixing in chopped peanuts, sesame seeds, and spring onions to the mix.

A Mongolian Buffet is heavenly for me. I never leave left-overs so I get the 50 percent discount for having finished my food. Mongolian Grill in Mile Long has consistently good food, Kublai’s in Katipunan and in Podium is also recommendable. But I was really surprised with just how delicious the Mongolian Buffet in Sweet Inspirations was. Plus, all you can eat for less than P200 is an excellent deal! This restaurant is sure to get my repeat business!

The healing powers of stones
