Jenine and her ‘ghost’ admirer

At the presscon the other night for Reflection Films’ 2002 Metro Filmfest entry, Hula Mo, Huli Ko (topbilled by Rudy Fernandez and Rufa Mae Quinto), co-star Jenine Desiderio (as a lady cop) revealed that, yes she had a lover even before she separated from Juan Miguel Salvador early this year when she found out that he has "another woman" (not a model as earlier reported).

Jenine’s lover, however, was not human. It was a ghost (as in multo) who look like a foreigner, very goodlooking and wearing a lonely face. "I first saw him a few years ago when I was staying in my old place," said Jenine. "His extremities (arms and legs) seemed to be in a mist. I saw him up close twice."

Asked if her "ghost" lover looked in any way like Juan Miguel, Jenine jokingly said, "The multo looked even better! Juan Miguel knew about my ghost admirer because we stayed in that old place before we moved to my present residence."

When Jenine had her old place blessed, her "ghost" lover asked her to go with him "somewhere" but she begged off.

"He must be a restless spirit," said Jenine. "Kawawa naman siya."

Incidentally, Jenine is discounting any possibility of reconciling with Juan Miguel (by whom she has a daughter, Janella, 4) in the near future (neither is she filing any annulment petition), never mind if during the recent Guess? party she was seen sidling up to Juan Miguel (who was on the piano) while doing a sexy song-dance number.

Was Jenine, uh, flirting with her "ex"?

"Not at all," smiled Jenine. "Medyo iniinis ko lang ng konti ’yung girlfriend ni Juan Miguel. She was there that night."

Oh, well, after all Jenine is still the legal wife.

Rolling Stones album contest

As you must have known by now, Funfare and EMI Music Philippines, Inc. are having a tie-up contest as part of the promo for Forty Licks, the Rolling Stones’ new album now out in the market.
